He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stephen Kirton and Hessie Lou Ethridge Kirton; and his siblings, Melda Morris (Martin), Lois Hall, Katie Wheeler (Lemon), T. J. Kirton (Margaret), James Kirton and Charlie Kirton.
He is survived by: his wife Pamala Kirton; his daughter Autumn Tapler (Garry); his grandchildren, Kameron Knight, Jack Knight and Aubrey Tapler; his stepdaughter Jodi Cook (Jamie); his grandchildren, Marcus Cook, Ryan Cook and Madilynn Cook; his children, Jerry Kirton, Vickie Sanders and Tammy Cusomo; his sister-in-law Jennie Kirton; and his niece Bertie Parrish (Charles).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Blizzard Funeral Home Chapel (163 Main St S, Wagener, SC 29164).
