He is survived by: his wife Melinda Smith; his children, Shea Amanda Smith and JosephDavid Smith (Breelan); his grandson Marshall David Smith; and his siblings, Jerry Smith, Sr. (Janie Ruth), Ann Doughtery (Ligon), Walter Smith, Stephen Smith (Linda), Susan Hite, Sharon Smith, Coralie Sharpe (Archie) and Judson "Jud" Smith (Christie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
