She was predeceased by: her parents, Colin Glenn Thompson and Lois Belva Pope Thompson; her husband Michael Whitten; and her son Shannon Whitten. She is survived by: her children, Glenn Wood, Gwen Wood Bailey (Larry) and Clyde Barnette (Geralyn "Gerry"). She is also survived by many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
