Charles leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Charles’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Charles will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Hughes of Florida and Douglas Carroll of Florida; and his daughter Cynthia Byrd of South Carolina. He is survived by: his children, Lorraine Murray (Robert) of Florida, Tracy Cannon of Walhalla, Jessica Stancil (Billy) of Seneca, Charles A. Carroll (Melissa) of Walhalla, Shawn E. Carroll of Seneca and Steven Carroll of Seneca; and his sister Sandra Byrd (Jerry). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Jesus Way Ministries (505 Pickett Post Rd, Walhalla, SC 29691).
