He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Smith Duncan; his parents, Olin Van and Coree E. Cox Duncan; and his siblings, Harold "Junior" Edward Duncan, Roger Duncan, Evelyn Turner and Annie Mae O'Kelley.
He is survived by: his brother Jimmy Duncan (Billy Ann); and his close friend Lola Henry. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
