As Pearl Parnell departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Pearl Parnell may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy Pearl Parnell leaves behind.

She was predeceased by : her husband James Allen Griggs; and her sons, Allen and Joe Griggs. She is survived by : her grandchildren, Ashley Griggs McDaniel (James Harold, Jr.) of Moncks Corner, S. C., James Allen Griggs and Charles Robert Griggs of Wallace, S. C.; her great grandchildren, Addison and Emma Kate McDaniel; and her sisters-in-law, Virginia Griggs Taylor of Irmo, S. C. and Nina Griggs Gunter of Nashville, TN.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Wallace Church of the Nazarene (3610 SC-177, Wallace, SC 29596).
