He is survived by: his children, Charles Richard Carson, Jr. (Bridgett) of Ruffin, Sherri Lynette Smoak (Donald) of Ruffin, Stacy Michelle Carter (Jeremy) of Hendersonville and Jon Brandon Carson (Michelle) of Leicester; his grandchildren, Donald Bradley Smoak, Taylor Lynette Smoak Figueroa (Nick) and Gracelee Wynn Carter; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Figueroa, Gunner Elijiah Figueroa and Scout Burke Figueroa; and his sisters, Jeanette Mizzell of St. George and Kitty Faskey of Lyons, Georgia.
