He is survived by: his wife Sandra Marion Fanning Benites; his daughters, Deena Schmid (Randy) and Joann Brown; his grandchildren, Sarah Schmid and Carl Schmid (Jessica); his great grandchild Harper Schmid; his siblings, Peter Benites and Linda Arquero (Andy); and his brother-in-law Carl Fanning.
