It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danny L. Bishop of Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest "Red" Bishop and Mavis Lillian Jennings Bishop; and his brothers, Billy Bishop and Adrian Bishop. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Carroll Bishop; his children, Ryan Bishop (Abby) of Bluffton and Cindi Bishop of Walterboro; his grandchildren, Gracie, Braydon, Blake, Tinley and Cullen; his sister Bonnie Bishop Tracy (Wayne) of Walterboro; his mother-in-law Louvenia "Winnie" Craven; his sisters-in-law, Julie Maxey Bishop and Linda Blocker Bishop; and his friend Pete Pye.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to the following: Grace Advent Christian Church, 398 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488; or to Fishers of Men, care of First Baptist Church of Walterboro, 124 South Memorial Avenue, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
