He was predeceased by : his parents, Monie Craven and Louise Strobel Craven; his sisters, Frankie Craven and Carol C. Mixson (Jim E.); and his nephews, Hubie Erwin and Kevin Mixson.

He is survived by : his wife Suzanne "Suze" Johnson Hickman; his son Glenn Craven (Emily); and his sisters, Ethel C. Erwin (Hubert) of Walterboro and Lynn C. Crosby (Paul) of Walterboro.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (3481 Sidneys Rd, Walterboro, SC 29488). A reception was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
