He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jackson Edwards Sr. and Rosa Juanita Bishop Edwards; his wife Sabra Delores "Lois" Edwards; his daughter Melissa E. Thomas; his grandson Tyler Thomas; and his brothers, Jackie and Larry Edwards.

He is survived by: his siblings, Bobby E. Edwards, Carol E. Campbell (Hank) and Carl T. Edwards (Dorothy); his grandson David Thomas; and his great grandchild Jamie Thomas.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
