We are sad to announce that, on May 13, 2026, at the age of 73, Julie Hewett of Walterboro, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Raymond Speights Sr. and Susan Matilda Speights; and her brother Alvah "Andy" Speights. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Lamar Hewett; her son Lamar Hewett; her brother James Raymond Speights Jr. (Carolyn); and her pets, Buck and Allie.
