The memory of Lucille Culpepper of Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on June 26, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucius Rhode and Rebecca Dandridge Rhode; her sister Serena; and her husband Ernest Lee Culpepper, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Gail Hyatt (Monroe) of Summerville, Lisa Culpepper of North Augusta, Edward Culpepper (Janice) of Cottageville, Eric Culpepper (Vicky) of Edisto and Elton Culpepper (Charlotte) of Folly Beach; and her grandchildren, Erin Johnston (Richard), Rebecca Guzman (Rafael), Evan Culpepper (Wendy), Lucius Culpepper (Kelly) and Rachel McGhie (Ryan). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bethel United Methodist Church (355 Hampton St, Walterboro, SC 29488). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
