He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucas C. Carter and Emily Garvin Carter; and his brother George Leonard Carter. He is survived by: his spouse Pressie Leal Carter; his siblings, Lee Carter (Ann), Marie C. Hoats, Elizabeth C. Pellum (Harry) and Joyce C. Dopson; his sisters-in-law, Marcela L. Baker, Manuella L. Plante (Luc), Sally L. Plover (Robert), Irene L. Craven and Marianne L. Holmes (Don); and his nieces and nephews, Scott, Shannon Pellum, Carol, Randy Hoats, Christy Vorhis, Marissa Little, Kimbee Strickfaden and Hunter Carter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mac to Ebenezer Methodist Church, or to the charity of one's choice.
