He is survived by: his children, Susie Wilson, Kathy Leigh, Sheryl Tyler, Patricia Hardee, Tracy Lynn Fisher and John Michael Benson, Sr.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel (1193 Bells Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488).
