He was predeceased by : his mother Martha B. Fields; and his brother John A. Fields.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home (1767 Jefferies Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
