Ruth Kimbrel Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on September 21, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Ruth Kimbrel of Walterboro, South Carolina, born in Branchville, South Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvester Vance "E. V." Kimbrel and Nell Wethington Kimbrel; and her siblings, E. V. Kimbrel, Jr., Clarence Carlton "Sam" Kimbrel and Helen Kimbrel Avant.

She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Hudson Lucas (Charles) of Walterboro; her sister Myrna Kimbrel Hanlon of Charleston; her granddaughters, Heather Lucas Lambros (Nicholas) of Dutch Island and Holly Lucas Mardell (Matthew) of Walterboro; her great grandchildren, Madison Leigh Lucas, Lucas Lambros, Sophia Lambros, Landon Lambros, Townsend Mardell and Evangeline Clare Mardell; and her caregivers, Heather Delong and Amy Covington. She is also survived by two nephews and a niece as well as a host of great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to: Saint Jude's Church, 907 Wichman Street, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
