It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Black of Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on May 17, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Avriett and Catherine Mathis Avriett. She is survived by: her husband Robert Francis Black of Walterboro; her children, Dexter W. Black (Kathy) of Round, Karen Black Rogers (Robert) of Commerce, Georgia and Debbie Black Fellenz (Nick) of Spartanburg; and her siblings, Rodger Avriett and Eloise Shadrick. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Walterboro Church of Christ, Post Office Box 2012, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488; or if you prefer, Amedisys Hospice, 2201 Boundary Street, Suite 112, Beaufort, South Carolina 29902.
