He is survived by: his wife Frankie Gibert Watson; his children, Matthew Watson (Maureen) of Greenwood and Michelle Posey (Mike) of Ware Shoals; his siblings, Jerry Watson (Sharon) of Columbia and Joyce Morgan (Don) of Boiling Springs; his granddaughter Sydney Posey Grime (Jeremy) of Ware Shoals; and his great grandchildren, Isadora and Esmeralda.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 6000 Poplar Springs Road, Ware Shoals, SC 29692.
