She was predeceased by: her husband Frank C. Richey, Sr.; her parents, John Henry and Ethel Sims Thompson; her daughter Sandy Penland; and her grandsons, Erik Richey and David Penland.
She is survived by: her children, Frank C. Richey, Jr. and Betty Richey Aviles; and her grandchildren, Jon, Ben, Tracy, Jennifer and Amy. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery (3302 US-25, Hodges, SC 29653).
