He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Johnson and Alice Godfrey Collins; his daughter Sharla Collins; his stepson Richard Dawkins; and his sister Lynn Hinton.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Collins of Highway; his daughters, Dawn Collins of Greenwood, Candy Lee (Mark) of Greenwood, Crystal Hipp (Wade) of Saluda and Patience Payne of Greenwood; his stepsons, Danny Dawkins of Anderson and Andy Dawkins of Ware Shoals; and his sister Rosemary Ross of Ware Shoals. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
