He is survived by: his children, David Nelson (Kristina) of Greenwood, Veronica Hall (Joel) of Hodges, Tisha Horne (Floyd) of Ware Shoals and Stephanie Roche (Bobby) of Ninety Six; his brother Don Gunter (Joy) of Kenosha, WI; his grandchildren, Christopher, Anna, Emily, Abigail, Ashlea, William, Wesley, Madison, Robby, Gatlin and Austin; his great grandchildren, James, Raelee and Cooper; and his caregiver Jamie Smith of Ware Shoals.
