He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Charles and Ester Murphy Canfield; and his siblings, Frances Pinson, Louise Sprouse (Neal), Virginia Tippett (Ray), R. H. Canfield and Richard Canfield.

He is survived by : his children, Jimmie Marshall Canfield, Jr. of Texarkana, TX and Nancy Ann C. Ramsey (Shawn) of Laurens; his sister Cleo Farmer (Don); his grandchildren, Cameron Ramsey, Anslee Murphy (Chase) and Cayley Ramsey; and his great grandchild Charlee Ann Murphy.
