We are sad to announce that on November 6, 2023, at the age of 95, Phillip G. Shafer of Wellford, South Carolina, born in Ithaca, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Shafer and Myra Shafer (McCool); and his brothers, Robert Shafer and Jack Shafer. He is survived by : his wife Barbara; and his children, Susan Schaub (John) of Boston, MA, Steven Shafer of San Diego, CA and Sarah Trevis (Doug) of Poland Ohio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Those wishing may contribute in his memory to the American Heart Association.
