With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Amanda P. Ford of West Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2026 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Peterson and Pauline Peterson; her siblings, Fredolph Peterson and Hilda Douglas; her son Conrad Patrick Ford (Spike); and her grandchildren, Bradley Herring, Mandy Herring and Katie Ford.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Louis Ford, Sr.; her children, Gene Ford (Kaye), Linda Herring (Roger), Susan Sharpe (Rick), Mike Ford (Susan) and Cheryl Smith (Rusty); and her grandchildren, Tammy Jur (Joe), Darren Ford, Brent Herring (Kelly), Ashley Powell (Keith) and Lindsey Smith (Alex).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southland Memorial (820 W Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Southland Memorial Gardens (700 W Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170).
