With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Patterson of West Columbia, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Drury Patterson and Della Cannon Patterson. He is survived by : his daughters, Melissa Patterson Kirven, Della Patterson Tenny and Sarah Patterson Burgoon (Dennis); his grandchildren, John Chandler Kirven, Patrick Tenny, Bradley Tenny (Rachel), Meredith Burgoon, Christopher Gene Tenny and Emily Burgoon; and his great grandchildren, Sloane and Norrah. He is also survived by step-children and step-grand-children.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
