It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Edward Jacob of West Columbia, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Waddell Jacob and Connie Jordan Jacob; and his siblings, Homer Jacob, Frank Jacob, Allen Jacob, Doris Beckham and Sally Sanders.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn B. Jacob; his children, Richard Jacob (Joy) of Lexington, Diane Sauro (Derek) of Newnan, GA, Jennifer Jacob of Saluda, April Jacob of Saluda and Heather Stanley of Williston; and his grandchildren, Nicole Stanley, Cody Sauro, Aiden Jacob, Alexander Sauro, Evan Jacob, Ethan Sauro and Christian Wyatt Jacob.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), 6437 Garners Ferry Rd, Columbia, SC 29209, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
