It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Daniel Gilbert of West Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Gilbert and Jewel Gilbert of Meriwether County, GA.; his wife Eloise Eggleton Gilbert; and his grandson Chad Vella. He is survived by: his children, Pam Vietmeier (Todd) and Danny Gilbert; his grandchildren, Brandon, Brent Gilbert and Tori McGill (Cam); and his great grandchildren, Scarlett McGill and Palmer McGill.
