He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ryan Ellison; his brother Billy Gene Ellison (Jean); and his brothers-in-law, Billy Ryan (Eleanor) and Johnny Ryan (Gibie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.
