Samson Chavis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samson Chavis of West Columbia, South Carolina, born in Pelion, South Carolina, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Samson was predeceased by: parents, Gene Sharpe and Vernalee Cooper; and daughter Debra Chavis. Samson is survived by: sons, Thomas Chavis and Danny Chavis (Patricia); and grandchildren, Samson Chavis (Kathy), Chasity Chavis, Carla Chavis, Nathan Chavis, Kimberly Sandy (Ronnie), Debra Tirado (Antonio) and April Stukes (Jimmy). Samson is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
