He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Chester Peagler and Margaret "Maggie" Spigner Peagler; and his siblings, Daniel C. Peagler, Jr. (Blondelle), William "Billy" Peagler (Girlie) and Ruth Peagler Michael Townsend (Mike).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Anne Rast Peagler; his children, Daniel Ernest "Ernie" Peagler (Pennie) and Frances Lee Peagler Long; and his grandchildren, John Thomas Peagler, Zachary Daniel Peagler and London Anne Peagler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh United Methodist Church (546 Gardners Terrace Rd, West Columbia, SC 29172).
