With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernell Padgett in West Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on November 30, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amanda Kanaday and Jack L Gillespie; her husband Jack Padgett; her children, Ann Padgett Gabbard and Lee Padgett; her brother Pete (Ruby Gillespie); and her grandson Bryan Gabbard.
She is survived by: her son Jack Padgett (Pam); her grandchildren, Kimberly Barron (David), Nicholas Padgett (Patricia) and Michael; her daughter Debbie; her daughter-in-law Becky Corley Padgett; her children, Jessica Venables (Tristan), Thad Padgett (Beth) and Gabe Padgett (Kristen); her son-in-law Steve Gabbard (Nancy); her grandson Kevin Gabbard (Linda); and her nieces, Wanda Gillespie Rascoe (Joe) and Shirley Gillespie Paoletti (Tom). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
