With sadness, we share the passing of Youvnee W. Hooker Sr. of West Columbia, South Carolina. Youvnee, born on February 21, 1926, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Blanche Wilson and Altie Webster Hooker; and his son Bob Hooker. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Melanie Hooker Bell (Tony), Marc Hooker (Tiffany) and Madison Hooker; his great grandchildren, Matthew (Flora), Mitchell, Mallory, Morgan (Josiah), Landon and Marianne; his great great grandchildren, Anthony and Alexander Bell; Rose Ann Hooker.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (4720 Augusta Rd, Lexington, SC 29073). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Hebron Methodist Church (3050 Leaphart Rd, West Columbia, SC 29169).
