James Dean Crane Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Dean Crane (West Union, South Carolina), who passed away on September 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Homer and Ruby Grant Crane; the mother of his children Linda Sue Littleton Crane; and his siblings, William Eddie Crane, Benjamin Oliver Crane, Robert Lewis Crane and Carolyn Reid.

He is survived by: his wife Laura Leroy of Salem; his sons, James Randall Crane (Lynn) and Gregory Dean Crane (Susan); his stepsons, Jeremy Heath Leroy (Angie) and Donald Wayne Leroy; and his sisters, Judy Holcombe (Charles) and Charlotte Littleton (Dwayne). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
