With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rooksie E. Neal (West Union, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rooksie left this world on June 9, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Rooksie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Rooksie. Though Rooksie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Eugene; and her children, Joyce Elaine Smith, Charles Neal (Wanda), Wayne Neal, Becky Merck (Stanley), Phyllis Neal-Adams (Alex), Dale Neal (Tina), Timothy Neal, Marsha Neal Burrell (Greg) and Timmy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davenport Funeral Home (311 SC-11, West Union, SC 29696). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
