He is survived by: his wife Judy Elizabeth Lawing Hayes; his children, Rusty Hayes (Candace), Nicholas Woodring, Adam Woodring, Kelsey Woodring and Megan Overfelt (Andrew); his siblings, Charles Carter, Jerrie Reese Carter and Peggy Groce; and his grandchildren, Eli Hayes, Ella Hayes and Juniper Strong.
