She was predeceased by: her parents, Sally Welborn Thomas and Walter Welborn; her brother Charles Welborn; her niece Cristi Welborn Snelgrove; and her grandson Zach Burnside.

She is survived by: her husband John Burnside; her children, Beth Burnside and Michael Burnside (Nicki); her grandsons, Stephen Burnside, Henry Burnside and Devon Klaren; and her siblings, Betty Eades, Harold Welborn and Johnny Welborn (Marie). She is also survived by three great granddaughters, and three great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
