We bid farewell to David Holmes Gessell (Westminster, South Carolina), born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 3, 2025 at the age of 74. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fran Gessell and Lyman Gessell, Jr.; and his brother Rob Gessell. He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Marr Gessell; his sons, Noah Gessell, Fred Gessell (Amanda), Ben Gessell (Amanda) and Joe Gessell (Alicia); his grandchildren, Rylee, Gavin, Reagan, Cannon, Corbin, Kaden, Maya, Cullen, Andy, Jake and Brody; his sister Donna Gessell (John Segars); and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Bloodworth (Jeff), Cindy Pawlick (Steve) and Van Marr. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, and great nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ramsey Creek Preserve (390 Cobb Bridge Rd, Westminster, SC 29693).
