He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Browning Butts; his parents, Furman Simpson Butts and Pearl Lee Butts; his brother Larry Butts; his daughters, Julie Gibson (late Michael) and Teresa Butts; and his grandsons, Austin Gibson and Brandon Gibson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel (4500 SC-11, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at the same location.
