He was predeceased by: his parents, Engel Knapper and Anna Knapper of Grand Rapids, MI; his brother Hank Knapper; and his brother-in-law Bob Geelhoed. He is survived by: his wife Mary Knapper; his children, Jordon Walsworth (Sarah), Kasie Antonion (Matt), Elizabeth Pendleton (Aaron), Drake Knapper (Emma) and Quinn Knapper; his grandchildren, Henry Walsworth, Silas Pendleton, Isaac Pendleton and Archer Antonion; his siblings, Ruth Geelhoed, Dan Knapper (Annette) and Pete Knapper (Susan); and his sister-in-law Barb Knapper.
