She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Hembree and Sallie Hawkins Hembree; her husband Newt Bryant Jennings; and her sons, Alan Jennings and Jason Jennings.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Weaver (Chuck) of Westminster; her daughter-in-law Melinda Jennings of West Union; her siblings, Charles Hembree (Leatha) of Pickens and Nancy Porter (Ralph) of Seneca; her grandchildren, Leigh Meadows (Brandon), Olivia Reynolds (Chris), Adam Weaver (Crystal) and Kevin Jennings; her great grandchildren, Laurel Meadows, Aubrey Meadows, Josie Reynolds, Hudson Reynolds, Courtney Weaver and Alyssa Weaver; and her great great grandchildren, Skylar and Swayze. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Seneca Church of God (1016 Overbrook Dr, Seneca, SC 29678). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Fern's memory may be made to Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation, Cottingham Hospice House, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.
