He is survived by: his wife Betty Medlin Whitfield; his sons, Greg Whitfield (Tonia) and Shane Whitfield; and his grandchildren, Heather Olvera, Caleb Whitfield, Tyler Whitfield, Karliegh Whitfield and Khloe Whitfield. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
