He was predeceased by: his aunt Beth Brown; and his grandmother Vada Smith. He is survived by: his parents, Gary Phillip Carter and Sharon Rebecca Smith; his son Liam Jacob Carter (Haylee Burrell); his siblings, Nikki Carter (Joseph Wilson), Brent Frederick, Jessi Carter, Jared Frederick and Harley Frederick; and his grandparents, JT, Betty J. Carter of Anderson, SC and Jack Smith of Westminster, SC. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made in memory of Garon to Blue Ridge Bank in Walhalla for his son Liam.
