He was predeceased by: his parents, Lennie "Mac" McDowell and Pauline Bolick McDowell; and his sister Priscilla Galbreath. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Holbrooks McDowell; his children, Shane McDowell (Mandy) of Westminster and Michelle McDowell Landford (Will) of Woodruff; his stepson Warren Crumpton (Katie) of Anderson; and his siblings, Duane McDowell (Norma) of Walhalla and Anita Dolis (Joe) of Bradenton, Florida. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.
