He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace T. Hare, Sr. and Annie Smith Hare; and his siblings, Furman Hare, Joe Brown Hare, John Hare, Paul Hare, Woodrow Hare, Estelle Swizenbank, Ethel Rose and Leone Blackwell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Eulala Cobb Hare of Westminster; his children, Roger Eugene Hare (Sarah) of James Island, SC, Bobby Joe Hare (Marie) of Westminster, SC and Gladys Hare Hood (Gary) of Walhalla, SC; his grandsons, Alex Hood, Joseph Hare (Lindsey) and Blake Hare (Ariel); and his great grandchildren, Alyssa Hood, Lacey Hare, Emmielou Hare, Charleigh Hood, Westen Hare, William Hare, Hagen Hare and Tanner Hare.
