He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lemuel Chambers and Minnie Cox Chambers; his brother James Charles Chambers; and his half-sister Janie Yates. He is survived by: his wife Sara "Pat" Spearman Chambers; his children, Gregory Donald Chambers (Carol) of Valdosta, Georgia, Donna Lynn Martin of Westminster, Jan Zeigler (Gary) of St. Petersburg and Kimberly Jo Merrick (Michael) of Crystal River, Florida; and his half-sister Alice Waldorf. He is also survived by grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
