He is survived by: his children, Robert Smith (Dawn) of Walhalla, Michael Smith (Vonda) of Westminster and Rebecca McAlister (Wes) of Westminster; his siblings, James Smith of Travelers Rest and Doris Smith of Westminster; his sister-in-law Retha Grice (Gene) of Westminster; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Aren, John, Chris, Ryan, Erica, Brent, Jared and Harley. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery (1556 Dr Johns Rd, Westminster, SC 29693).
