He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucious Lauren Allen and Alice Baggett Allen. He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Spearman Allen; his children, Brian Allen (Amy) of Danielsville, Georgia and Leslie Allen Gourdin (Steve) of Seneca; his brother Lou Allen (Jean) of Summerville; his brother-in-law John D. Spearman (late Carolyn Spearman) of Charleston; and his grandchildren, Lucas Allen, Jack Allen, Miriam Gourdin and Emma Gourdin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lauren's name to Clearmont Baptist Church, 1740 Clearmont Rd, Westminster, SC 29693.
