She was predeceased by: her spouse Crayton Loos Smith; her parents, Elmer Pitts and Kate Cole Pitts; her siblings, Elmer Pitts, Jr., Frances Fortson, Annette Hamby and Martha; and her son-in-law Rayford Simpson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Lynn Simpson of Seneca and Masheila Cobb (Rodney) of Westminster; her sister Inez Burton of Rock Hill; her grandchildren, Jetta Simpson Reynolds, Joel Simpson (Paige) and Jonathan Simpson (Poppy); and her great grandchildren, Madelyn Simpson, Eli Simpson and Robbie Simpson.
