She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Lee Brooks; her parents, Walter Lester and Ethel Mae Holland Ellison; her brothers, David, Wade, Sammy, Jerry, Don and Wendell Ellison; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Strickland (Gary), Charles Brooks and Charles Dickerson.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Chapman (Terry) and Brent Brooks (Melinda); her siblings, Mary Jane Cothran (David), Dot Dickerson and Alton Ellison; her grandchildren, Ross Taylor, Keri Burdette (Joseph), Brittany Ginn (Chase) and Pressley Brooks; her great grandchildren, Jud Key, Silas Taylor, Maeson Key, Bryson Key, Tripp Ginn and Tucker Ginn; her siblings-in-law, Tommy Brooks (Jeanette), Sammy Brooks and Diane Brooks; and her pet Banjo Brooks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
